The ice storm that hit New England recently tore up the Leominster State Forest mountain biking area pretty significantly. I took a hike today to see how bad and clear some small brush. Two hours of walking and I am blown away at what a mess it is. I covered about 25% of the park, but it was enough to realize how much work it will take to get it up and going.
Take a look.
How can you help? NEMBA - New England Mountain Bike Association - builds and maintains the mountain bike trails in the park. Consider donating your time or money to the organization to support the clean up and ongoing improvements to the park.
